two; daemons In this AU, Eddie comes from a world in which people's souls manifest as animals at their side. His daemon, Abraska, is a fennec fox. When Roland pulls him through Mid-World, his daemon is ill and dying, much as he is, but in the end Abraska comes out alive and Eddie comes out an ex-addict. Basically the same as The Dark Tower, but with daemons.
